Same versions and symptoms at those above.

Have automatic compact on but it does not work.

Expiring manually through Thunderbird works.

Daniel, I reopen this. Please you advice whether users shall open a new bug
report about the remaining deleted mails stay but greyed out issues. If you
think it is better to open a new bug report, feel free to close this one again.

Also to all the users of KDEPIM + Akonadi 16.04 who it still doesn´t work, did
you try: "Accounts > Your account > advanced > automatically compress folders".

This bug persists for me in kmail 5.1.3 and frameworks 5.22.0 (kubuntu 16.04 +
backports ppa), should not be marked as fixed IMHO

I have patched messagelib-16.04.2 on openSUSE Leap 42.1 and it still doesn't
work, no invitation appears. Should I recompile the rest of kdepim, too?

This bug appears only if akregator works many day in a row.  In this case, if
akregator was close incorrect, for example, after reset computer, it shows
restoring window, but if I click restore or not, some article since some date
will lose. If I repeatedly  close akregator and launch it again, bug will not
appear. Usually akregator works well for 3-4 days, but sometime it can work
well longer. 

Now i use akregator 4.14.10, but I saw this bug in early version since kde 4.0

After creation of a key, kleopatra provides the option to send the certificate
by mail as an attachment.
However, KMail interprets the path as URL and fails:

File or directory /home/fabian/%2Ftmp%2Fkleo-... not found.

As providing an attachment via kmails --attach option works fine, I guess this
is a bug in Kleopatra.
