[kmail2] [Bug 363721] Kmail Message Headers Interpretting UTC Time after latest update

2016-07-18 Thread Craig via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363721

Unsure if related, however during testing on bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362958 regarding calendar invites, upon
accepting an invite say with EST time zone (while I'm in PST), it gets added to
my calendar at the incorrect time (ignores the time zone
specification/calculation/conversion). May be related or not as it has to do
with the message header parsing from what I can see?

[kmail2] [Bug 362958] After update KMail not interpreting Invite Emails

2016-07-18 Thread Craig via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362958

I can nab one later today when back at home, but it's pretty much ANY invite
email whether from gmail, exchange, or Kontact/Kmail/Korg itself.

However one note, I think this may be unrelated but one thing noticed was when
accepting an invite (using patch above) which was sent from a different time
zone it added it to my local timezone at the same time/ignored their time zone
specification, that may be a separate bug as I've seen multiple date-related
issues since 16.04 in Kontact but figured would mention just in case, will
submit a report for it when can confirm the results.

2016-07-18 Thread Sandro Knauß via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362958

Can you please add a message with invitation, that is not handled correctly?

Than I can create a test message to test the patch and include it.

[Akonadi] [Bug 365803] New: Akonadi prevents speedy GUI creation

2016-07-18 Thread Hans-Peter Guggenbichler via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365803

Bug ID: 365803
Summary: Akonadi prevents speedy GUI creation
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: hanspet...@gmx.net

Hi
I'm on kubunut 16.04. Since I moved on to 16.04 my system starts very slow.
But this is limited to the very last step of the GUI creation. Kubuntu boots
very fast to the login screen. After typing in credentials the progress bar
moves very fast to the very right side and then the system hangs. If I enter a
console, I see 4 processes eating 100% of my CPU:
akonadi_akonote
akonadiserver
akonade_notes_a
mysqld
I tried to remove the *notes* Agents using akonadiconsole, but after reboot,
they are here again and they eat up my cpu. I have no idea what this notes
thing is doing, since I never used any notes on my PC. 2 possible solutions
come to my mind:
* Remove the Agents permanently or
* Find out what they are doing while startup and fix that.

Reproducible: Always

[kmail2] [Bug 365801] New: Search on Folders doesn't work at all

2016-07-18 Thread Hans-Peter Guggenbichler via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365801

Bug ID: 365801
Summary: Search on Folders doesn't work at all
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.1.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: search
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: hanspet...@gmx.net

If I select Tools->FInd Messages and use any of the options (Search in all
Folders, only in, specific), (match in body, subject, ... ) the search result
is always empty. I stopped akonadi and removed the ~/.local/share/baloo
directory. After reboot the the directory was there again and all its
subdirectories, including email.
This is its contents now:
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 0 Jul 18 09:57 flintlock
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 28 Jul 18 09:57 iamchert
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 0 Jul 18 09:57 postlist.DB
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 13 Jul 18 09:57 postlist.baseA
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 0 Jul 18 09:57 record.DB
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 13 Jul 18 09:57 record.baseA
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 0 Jul 18 09:57 termlist.DB
-rw-r--r-- 1 hp family 13 Jul 18 09:57 termlist.baseA

All these files are empty. So it seems ballo isn't indexing my email. I have a
local acount and a pop3 account. How can I tell baloo to index my email
folders?

BTW: Quick search on subjects is working.

Reproducible: Always

Since 16.04 kaddressbook crashes on startup. I tried to remove
~/.local/share/contacts but kadr. is still crashing - so nothing to do with my
