-- Information about the crash:
Morning power uup of system leads to this crash. I suspected Kwallet as the
culprit initially as Iwas not asked for the wallet password at powerup of the
system. However for the last week the wallet passowrd is requested almost
immediately. My work around has been to restart the system or to go to
terminal and repeatedly enter akonadictl restart. When I enter akonadictl stop
I am inofrmed that Akonaid is not running. When i enter akonadictl start I am
informed that Akonadi is already running. This is confusing.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[kmail2] [Bug 360320] kMail 5 garbles original "To" header when bouncing a message

2016-08-29 Thread Gunter Ohrner via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360320

--- Comment #6 from Gunter Ohrner  ---
I fear we're somehow not talking about the same issue.

To summarize:
* I receive an eMail,
* I bounce it using kMail and
* the generated bounce message contains a garbled / invalid "To" header.

All I'm saying is that kMail should not garble the "To" header if I bounce a
mail - even if it's formatted in an unusual, but apparently technically
correct, way.

Right, but an address like that does not appear in these mails.

The "To" address contained in the mail I received was

  "'mails.kmail-bug-t...@gunter.example.com'"

This, I think, is a valid address with an admittedly strange looking quoted
"display name" and an address specification in angle brackets.

Thus kMail should not garble this address if I merely forward a mail which
contains an address formatted this way.

However, if I "bounce" a mail containing a "To" address like this, kMail
destroys the "To" address line. (See the pasted "bounced" mail from above.)
This should not happen, kMail should bounce the mail as-is.

This bug was reported before bug 328222, but since the latter contains much
more info about the bug, I mark this one duplicate of bug 328222 instead of
vice versa.

 localp...@example.com  is a valid address

but 'localp...@example.com ' is not valid and smtp told
you it. It doesn't accept to send it.
=> it's not a valid address.
