[kmail2] [Bug 377355] Kmail2 does not reset scroll position in message preview/window

2017-03-17 Thread William L . Thomson Jr .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377355

I think this is occurring when a message deleted is larger than the next. It
seems to occur when I have a list of emails. I am at the bottom of the list,
oldest email, not sure if that matters. I open an email, scroll to the bottom.
I delete that email so it moves to the next oldest, last one in list. At that
point the scroll bar is still at the bottom. If the next message is larger than
the one I deleted, the scrollbar resets. But if the next email after deleted is
smaller it seems to not reset the scrollbar position. Or something to that
effect.

[kmail2] [Bug 376202] Emails are moved to folders on read, without explanation

2017-03-17 Thread Łukasz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376202

E-mails deletion happened to me a few more times. I noticed this starts
happening each time the filters fail to move the messages from mailing lists to
their destination folders, instead they land in inbox folder. Then they are
gradually deleted and the same things happens to the e-mails, I can just watch
them disappear, as described in Comment 6.

This might be filter-related thing.

Hi,
It's normal if we have several identity we need to know which address is used.
Otherwise you don't know if it's your personal address or business address for
example.
So I decided to activate this feature to unique email.

Regards

[kmail2] [Bug 377744] New: KMail 2 - If more than one Identity, the "Me" as my own e-Mail address disappears

2017-03-17 Thread Don Curtis
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377744

Bug ID: 377744
Summary: KMail 2 - If more than one Identity, the "Me" as my
own e-Mail address disappears
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.3.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: bugrprt21...@online.de
  Target Milestone: ---

If more than one Identity is configured, the "new, but nice" feature that
substitutes "Me" for my e-Mail address in received e-Mails disappears -- the
displayed text is the "To:" or "CC:" text of the e-Mail header.

The KMail 5.3.0 (QtWebEngine) configuration is fresh -- neither imported nor
upgraded from a previous KDE Plasma version.

The local e-Mail directories are located in the directory:
   ~/.local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource_0/

There are 3 POP-3 receive and 3 SMTP transmit connections defined.

If 2 Identities are deleted (the POP-3 and SMTP definitions remain; the Mail
Folders defined for the other Identities remain as well), the displayed "Me"
behaves as expected.

When one of the deleted Identities is re-defined, display of "Me" misbehaves.

Why multiple Identities?

Take a look at "Create a new KDE Bugtracking System account":

PRIVACY NOTICE: KDE Bugtracking System is an open bug tracking system. Activity
on most bugs, including email addresses, will be visible to registered users.
We recommend using a secondary account or free web email service (such as
Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or similar) to avoid receiving spam at your primary

If more than one Identity is configured, "Reply All" on any received e-Mail

Bad icon scaling screenshot

In the KF5 based kmail (kmail actually shows version 5.4.3, but bugzilla only
has version 5.4.1 and Git), the filter-bar has a slight appearance issue: The
icon for clearing the filter-bar is shown twice (the two overlap each other)
with one being a pixelated (probably) scaled-up version of the other.

[kmail2] [Bug 377714] New: Long plaintext message with deep quotation does not display

2017-03-17 Thread Krzysztof Nowicki
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377714

Bug ID: 377714
Summary: Long plaintext message with deep quotation does not
display
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.4.1
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kri...@op.pl
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 104606
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=104606=edit
Example message

I've been included in a lengthy e-mail thread and at some point after receiving
yet another mail in it I have noticed that KMail couldn't display it any more
(and any of the subsequent messages in that thread). When walking the e-mail
list clicking on one of the later messages would cause the message pane to
still display the previous message. When double-clicking the e-mail I'm seeing
blank content. The message loaded correctly as I'm able to view its source and
I'm able to see the contents when starting a reply.

I have noticed that the message displays correctly when I enable the "Show
expand/collapse quote marks" and leave auto-collapse at level 3. If I keep
increasing the auto-collapse level I will eventually find one at which the
message does not display again.

When the message does display (with auto-collapse enabled) I am unable to
expand the collapsed quotation.

I have prepared a synthetic message which reproduces the problem (attached).
