[kmail2] [Bug 342756] Clicking on read/unread icon in Kmail's message list removes attachment icon/flag instead

2017-06-27 Thread Larry CK
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342756

I canconfirm it too. Version 5.3. But attachment icon seems to dissapear
after marming email as read only when messageist theme "smart with
clickable status" ienabled. It does not happen with "smart" theme.

My knowledge of Qt is less than zero.
I just noticed that QSocketNotifier object data contains abnormal or invalid
values.

The messages

'QSocketNotifier: Invalid socket 12 and type' Read ', disabling ...'

are the first symptom of a problem that is already done.

They seem to have problems using destroyed object, notifications that are still
active while their handler is being destroyed, or perhaps memory overwrite.

It doesn't happen *everytime* though.

Sometimes the preconfigured path is

But most of the time it gets set to /home/neuertest/.local/share/local-mail/
here...

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail?

Found on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style

Thunderbird also places the cursor at the bottom by default.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reply-above-or-below-quoted-text

I agree that there needs to be an option, because the number of people that are

Yes, this is still reproducible in the latest version 5.5.2.

Although, meanwhile you apparently have to click on the read/unread icon twice

2017-06-27 Thread Gunter Ohrner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381719

Bug ID: 381719
Summary: kMail Application Icon not showing in task switcher
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.5.2
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kdeb...@customcdrom.de
  Target Milestone: ---

I always thought this was caused by my usage of the old Oxygen icons, but it
also does not work with the default Breeze icon:

The KDE task switcher does not display an application icon for kMail, see
attachments.

KMail Version 5.5.2
KDE Frameworks 5.35.0
Qt 5.9.0 (kompiliert gegen 5.7.1)
Das xcb Fenstersystem

Plasma 5.10.2

This might possibly be a duplicate of Bug #374627, but I'm not sure.

[kmail2] [Bug 381715] New: saving sent mail with BCC address loses those addresses if mail is encrypted

2017-06-27 Thread m . eik michalke
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381715

Bug ID: 381715
Summary: saving sent mail with BCC address loses those
addresses if mail is encrypted
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.2.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@reaktanz.de
  Target Milestone: ---

steps to reproduce:
- send an OpenPGP encrypted mail with To: to yourself and several addresses in
Bcc:
- examine saved messages in sent-mail

what i get:
- for each address originally in Bcc: i have one exact copy of the outgoing
mail showing only the To: address; i.e., in sent-mail there's the mail multiple
times, but all Bcc: addresses were stripped

what i expect:
- the very one outgoing mail, with the Bcc: field and all addresses intact

i'm pretty sure this used to work in earlier versions. it can be absolutely
crucial to be able to check to whom those mails were sent.

[kmail2] [Bug 381714] Cancelling sieve management operation has no effect

2017-06-27 Thread Dennis Schridde
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381714

P.S. Importing the Akonadi settings to Sieve Editor works: I can select and
edit the script there without running into any issues of "spinning circles" or
other forms of non-reaction.

[kmail2] [Bug 381714] New: Cancelling sieve management operation has no effect

2017-06-27 Thread Dennis Schridde
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381714

Bug ID: 381714
Summary: Cancelling sieve management operation has no effect
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.5.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: sieve
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: devuran...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

In KMail, I go to {Settings > Manage Sieve Scripts ...}. In the dialogue that
opens, one of my servers/accounts is listed with a spinning circle and no sieve
scripts. Waiting for several minutes shows no change in this situation. Right
clicking on that account name and selecting {Cancel} has no effect, either.
User journal (journalctl --user) shows no reaction to the "Cancel" action
either, except the regular XCB errors. Please advise in how to debug this
further.

I think all the packages probably are all recompiled on the same date (though
maybe not in the right order), what is certainly missing are dependencies on
exact versions between all of them so they can only migrate into the repo and
be upgraded together. Some packages are specific-version tied, but not all.
