[kmail2] [Bug 393421] No ability to hide the HTML Message Status Bar

Arbitrarily just changing this setting for users isn't the best experience.
More so that i spent hours looking for ways to disable it as I usually do, only
to find that option now disabled. While I appreciate all the work developers do
on Kmail, - I think we're old enough to make our own decisions on what level of
hand-holding we need in this area. There are enough markers and warnings as it
is without another one staring us in the face.

We already did a check but we didn't test compile without it from very long
time :)
it seems that it doesn't build without it.

I can look at a day how to fix it or make it required.

Bug ID: 397541
Summary: Can't create new popup note
   Product: knotes
   Version: 5.7.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Target Milestone: ---

Since Kubuntu 18.04 (Kontact 5.7.3) knotes is pretty unusable. I set up akonadi
ressources and they also appear in knotes configuration under "collections" but
when I want to create a new pop up note (press the button or Ctrl-N) nothing
happens.

Hello, I have the following settings which I need to use in order to connect to
my email server to send emails:

Type: SMTP
STMP-server: smtp2.mis.mpg.de
Port: 587
Encryption type: SSL (STARTTLS)

Everything works in Thunderbird and Geary but I cannot connect to the sending
server with Kmail.

My settings are:

Authentication: LOGIN

However, I have tries various combinations and nothing worked for me.

Thunderbird uses:
Encryption: STARTTLS
Port: 587

Does someone have an idea what is wrong here?

Thanks.
