[kmail2] [Bug 409344] New: KMail crashes when closing a message opened twice or more

2019-06-30 Thread SasQ
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409344

Bug ID: 409344
Summary: KMail crashes when closing a message opened twice or
more
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.9.3
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: s...@poczta.ox.pl
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The entire program crashes when I open the same message more than once (by
double-clicking on in in the inbox).
I discovered this by accidentally opening more than one instance of the same
message because my mouse is broken and sometimes it gets "autofire" :J

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Double-click on a message in the inbox to open it.
2. Open the same message again in the same way.
3. Close one of those editor windows.

OBSERVED RESULT
The entire program crashes.
I can reproduce it every time.

EXPECTED RESULT
No crash, obviously :q

[kmail2] [Bug 409290] Kmail "Import/Export Kmail data" won't work. Window is blank.

2019-06-30 Thread Jesse DuBord
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409290

I didn't realize this was significant until now, but I have the global menu bar
widget in the panel at the top of my screen. In there I find menu items
pertaining to PIM Exporter tool. For those that use the global menu widget,
being greeted to a blank screen appears that the program isn't loading or that
there are buttons one might expect that are missing.

I would encourage adding a few simple buttons on the main screen interface, the
most obvious being "Import Kmail data" and "Export Kmail data", clicking either
of those opening the appropriate import & export windows. I feel that would
clear up any confusion users might have like me who have global menu enabled
and don't see any buttons, icons or any elements in the window.

[knotes] [Bug 409302] knotes has no akonadi collection table, could be the primary cause of failure

2019-06-30 Thread nmset
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409302

This is a general akonadi failure with newer mariadb version 10.4.6. This fix
from Arch's forum gives a usable akonadi server, though knotes itself is not
immediately usable on a new account :

> # mysql --socket=/tmp/akonadi-USERID.XX/mysql.socket -e 'create database
> mysql'
> # mysql_upgrade --socket=/tmp/akonadi-USERID.XX/mysql.socket
> # akonadictl restart

Let's hope akonadi devs come around this issue.

Please first check if this is not an issue with a freshly created user account.
By default, the exporter application should show a menubar.
