Git commit 551d46c276bddb735386787d0141c83888695c44 by Glen Ditchfield.
Committed on 24/03/2021 at 23:29.
Pushed by gditchfield into branch 'release/21.04'.

Add time and time zone to EXDATEs of DATE-TIME instances

KOrganizer creates DATE values for exceptions to recurring
instances, even if the incidence is not "all day" (i.e. DTSTART is a
DATE-TIME value). EXDATE identifies a specific instance and arguably
should follow the same rules as RECURRENCE-ID. RFC 5545 does not say
so, but [erratum 6316](https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid6316) does.
In practice, other important systems reject EXDATEs that do not match
DTSTART.

Original patch written by jochen.tru...@anu.edu.au.

[kmail2] [Bug 434909] New: Custom header themes per account/folder

2021-03-24 Thread Michael D
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434909

Bug ID: 434909
Summary: Custom header themes per account/folder
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.16.3
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: nortex...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I have a number of email accounts so that when reading an email it is easy to
lose track of which account it's from. I have to glance at the folder list and
ensure the top folder (which account name) is shown to confirm the account. To
make things easier, it would be nice if a custom header theme could be used per
account, e.g. a blue background one personal and green background one work.

I suppose this would make more sense if a number of variations on a theme were
provided, such as fancy headers, or if there were some configuration settings
where one could choose the background color of a particular header theme to
allow minimal customization.

When a new message arrives, a notification appears with Open mail action, if I
click on it then two windows will be opened, one is kmail main window and the
second is the one containing the content of the arrived message, It would great
if open mail action could open the content of the newly arrived inside main
kmail window instead of viewing it in new one.

[kmail2] [Bug 434900] New: Deleted e-mails do not get refiled under Trash

2021-03-24 Thread Geoffrey Clements
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434900

Bug ID: 434900
Summary: Deleted e-mails do not get refiled under Trash
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.16.3
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ge...@electron.me.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Using an IMAP server with a Trash folder. When an e-mail is deleted from any
folder it is gone forever.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create e-mail in drafts or read an e-mail in the inbox.
2. Delete the e-mail using the Del key.
3. Try to find e-mail in Trash folder, it's not there.

OBSERVED RESULT
e-mail goes missing and cannot be found in any folder.

EXPECTED RESULT
e-mail should be re-filed in Trash folder

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon User Edition 5.21
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0
Qt Version: 5.15.12

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I see bug 53342 says this is a feature but it's more like mis-feature. As a
long-time user of kmail I've lost many e-mails because of this, the e-mails
being deleted silently does not help the situation.

  Target Milestone: ---

Since some time I notice that there is a bunch of 'unread' mails in the send
folder, although those mails have been send from the same machine, using the
SMTP server of the mail provider.
These mails have to be ticked one by one and CRTL-R to mark them read - just
opening is not sufficient!
(No need to mention that this is somewhat annoying!)

Can we do something about this?

[kmail2] [Bug 434876] New: Ignore SSL cert errors for IMAP autoconfig

2021-03-24 Thread Philipp Wagner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434876

Bug ID: 434876
Summary: Ignore SSL cert errors for IMAP autoconfig
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.16.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@philipp-wagner.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 137020
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=137020=edit
screenshot of cert failure message

When adding a new IMAP account, kmail tries to connect over HTTPS to
autoconfig.DOMAIN. In my case, this is a domain which doesn't have autoconfig
information, so there's nothing to be found. But the connection attempt
triggers a SSL cert warning in a popup dialog, making the setup procedure quite
unfriendly for new users. (The popup appears multiple times with always one
more "www." added, and the user doesn't really know why this domain is accessed
in the first place).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE (if you want to do it with my server config)
1. Add a new account in kmail.
2. Use anyth...@philipp-wagner.com as username, and choose a random passwort.
3. See the cert error.

OBSERVED RESULT
see screenshot in attachment (sorry, in German)

EXPECTED RESULT

The cert error should not be shown. I can see reasons to both treat a cert
error as "unable to obtain data from this domain", or to silently ignore cert
errors for this autoconfig stage.

Maybe this isn't really a bug. There's a drop-down box in the configuration
dialog for "DKIM Checker" labeled "Save Record Key". The default value is
"Nothing". If I change that to "Save", or "Save and Compare", DKIM checker
seems to work correctly. I'll add that little hint to the documentation (which
didn't exist until recently), and close this bug report.
