Git commit 81a19f7be52ac5a6695a356d1d3fb1944b98f5c2 by Glen Ditchfield, on
behalf of Glen Ditchfield.
Committed on 09/07/2021 at 00:28.
Pushed by gditchfield into branch 'master'.

Toggle completed to-dos back to incomplete

If a non-recurring to-do has been completed, selecting "Toggle To-do
Completed" from its right-click menu does not make it incomplete, because
`Todo::setPercentComplete(0)` is not sufficient. This patch brute-forces
all completion-related fields.

Allow change of completion percentage of completed to-dos

If a non-recurring to-do has been completed, attempting to reduce its
completion percentage has no effect, because `Todo::setPercentComplete(0)`
alone is not sufficient. This patch brute-forces all completion-related
fields.

I can confirm the bug on Fedora f34 with kmail2 5.16.2 (20.12.2) and kf5
5.83.0-1.fc34.x86_64.

I reproduce the bug by switching to Calendar and then back to Mail in the
left-hand side icons in the kontact application.

The only way to restore the message pane is to completely quit (+q) and
restart.

I have been experiencing this error approx for an year now, if not more.

I use KMail and KOrganizer for work and personal stuff. For work i have Gmail
and i think it happens because of that too, because previous work place used
outlook and then these errors did not show up.

[Akonadi] [Bug 439631] New: Akonadi crashes often and sometimes it doesn't start up at all

2021-07-08 Thread Bart Ribbers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439631

Bug ID: 439631
Summary: Akonadi crashes often and sometimes it doesn't start
up at all
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 139942

akonadictl start crash log

SUMMARY
On my system, Akonadi crashes _constantly_. Not so much it's unusable, but
enough to be _really_ annoying. Normally Kontact manages to restart it after
instructed to do so, but sometimes akonadi just keeps crashing on startup and
is completely unusable till I reboot.

The log talks about "D-Bus session bus is not available" when I try to start it
via akonadictl, but seeing most of the time Akonadi _does_ start, I fail to see
how that could be breaking it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have Kontact or Kmail running in the background
2. After a while of idling, click on an e-mail
3. Observe Akonadi most of the time, but not always, crashing

OBSERVED RESULT
Akonadi crashes and has to be restarted before the PIM suite can be used again.

EXPECTED RESULT
Akonadi to not crash obviously.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Alpine Linux
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3 (KDE patches applied)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This system uses Musl libc instead of glibc which might be the cause of the
issues here, uncertain.
