[korganizer] [Bug 324592] REQUEST: implementation of copying reminders

2022-05-20 Thread Giuseppe Vinci

In the version 4.4.10 it was a "Duplicate" button between the "New / Add" and
"Remove" ones in the Reminder tab
As I look at the current Reminder tab, I see, there is place enough for adding
another button in the same manner - maybe between "New" and "Modify".
Reason for the button allocation:
The user add a complete new reminder (button "New") or duplicate an existent
one (button "Duplicate"). After that he/she maybe needs to edit some details in
the new added reminder (button "Modify").

I believe this wish has been granted.
In the sidebar Calendar Manager, right-click the calendar,
and select "Folder Properties...". On the dialog's General tab,
check off "Block reminders locally". You will have to
arrange to put work and home events in different calendars.

Does this meet your needs?

Re-confirmed for kalendarac. The notification that pops up says
"Event starts at «base start time»", not "Event starts at «exception start

and when it counts down ("Event starts in «n» minutes") it counts down to
the base start time.

With no localization (i.e., English language) this is called "dismiss". IMO, a
fitting German translation would be "Verwerfen".

One more usability degradation:

### confusing "decline" button

The reminding dialog per appointment remnder offer me a "decline" option (in
German "Ablehnen"). I am unsure what is does. Usually "decline" (and more so
"Ablehnen") for an appointment would mean that I want to refuse to make the
appointment, especially when this is a meeting in the Kalender this would
potentially mean that I inform the others that I will not participate in the
meeting. I guess that this is not what the button does, it probably just
declines being remined of this meeting. However that is not clear from the
presentation of the dialog.

[korganizer] [Bug 324592] REQUEST: implementation of copying reminders

Which versions do you mind?
I am using now the 5.14.2, that is the newest one on OpenSuse Leap 15.3
with this KOrganizer version is not possible to copy a reminder, which you have
already set, to add another reminder.
Please inform me, if you need more information, how this implementation should
/ could run (from user point of view!).
