These are all app issues in Plasma 6. The apps need to ask for an icon with
"-symbolic" appended to the end for their tray icons for all states (not just
some states, or no states--which leaves it up to the whims of the icon theme).
See how this was done already for KTeaTime:
https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kteatime/-/merge_requests/16/

Moving to KMail. Konversation should probably get its own bug report.

I also have problems with recurring events, that I believe may have the same
root cause as this issue.

When editing the title of a single event in a recurring series in a different
application (Thunderbird, SOGo, whatever), I'm able to make changes to a single
event in that series, so that a each single event in a recurring series can
have a unique title. However, when I open this same calendar in Korganizer, the
changes made to the individual events in a series are not shown, and instead
all events show their original title and no changes to individual events are
shown.

Don't overwrite valid date in eventDurationHint()

The view's hint function is called whenever a new event/todo/journal
is being created from KOrganizer. When the new incidence is being
created via context menu in the side-pane calendar preview, the selected
date might be different from the date currently selected in the main
view. In such case, the view should only provide a hint (e.g. about
duration or allday-ness of the new event) but shouldn't replace the
valid dates.

UI Element

SUMMARY

The current name for the toolbar element to show and hide the sidebar is
unnecessary long:

Hide/Show the component sidebar

This makes it uneasy, to use this as a dedicated button in the toolbar.
(See screenshot)

First, there is no other sidebar, so "component" is superfluous to begin with.

Second, other buttons have the option to change, depending on the state.

Like in Dolphin, where the "Split" element changes into "Close" and vice versa.
We could implement, to do the same here.

Otherwise, I suggest to rename the element simply into "Sidebar" and call it a
day.
Also consider, that this causes the translators to do work, so let us decide on
this with foresight. :)

Thanks a lot

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Kontact, switch to the KMail panel (I assume standalone Kmail is the
same)
2. Add the 'Hide/Show the component sidebar' element to the toolbar.
3. Acknowledge, that it takes much space.

SUMMARY

Since yesterday my Outlook EWS Account stopped synchronizing, and I got an
error authentication failed.
Manual re-authentication not possible, a manual account setting and 'try
connect' was not possible, not settings window opened.

So I deleted the ews account from kmail and tried to re-add it again.

kmail settings -> configure kmail -> accounts (receiving) -> add custom
account -> select Microsoft exchange EWS

The settings window appears for few (1-2) seconds and disappears.
This happens each time I try to access settings

Update: Neochat behavior was fixed (probably with 6.0.2). Kontact icon still
doesn't work. I've also tried standalone Kmail and it works fine. So the issue
persists just for Kontact.

Fix bug 484328: Kmail config dialog takes about 40 seconds to show up

It loads all list of qlocale and show translated name
but it will search to display translated name => it will search
which font used. but we don't have all font
=> it will take time to search another one.

=> now we don't translate name.

Hi,
the problem comes from:
=> const QString nativeName = lang.nativeLanguageName();
it will translate language string => when we fill combobox it will draw text
with specific font
=> it will take time.

(we have the same problem with kcmshell6 regionandlang -> lang -> modify ->
change language)

I will fix by not translating language name.
I can't find another solution.
Regards
