The main issue is that the selected font in the configuration isn't used. In KMail, if you go to Configuration / Configure KMail / Appearance / Font and select "Message text", in Plasma 5, you could change the displayed message font and size. In Plasma 6, you can't, it simply ignored. In addition to the OP #4: Access that item via + (shortcut for "Jump to next unread article) has the same problem. As a workaround I modified "Mark actual article as read" from 0 to 10 seconds.
