[korganizer] [Bug 483976] New: KOrganizer forgets the enabled calendars
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483976 Bug ID: 483976 Summary: KOrganizer forgets the enabled calendars Classification: Applications Product: korganizer Version: 6.0.0 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: aman...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY KOrganizer regularly forget what calendar was enabled and all calendars remain unchecked. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Hard to reproduce, but I suspect this happens when KOrganizer crashes for whatever reason. That is what happened just now: some calendars were enable, removed an event. While Kontact was in the background, it crashed. After restarting no calendars were enabled. This bug is not recent, it is around for a very long time. OBSERVED RESULT All calendars are unchecked. EXPECTED RESULT It should keep the state the user selected. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 akonadiserver 6.0.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I'm not sure if this is IMAP specific, though, but I had no time to debug inside the code. Attached is the email as downloaded from Roundcube (good.eml) and from KMail (bad.mbox). The problem is the following: - in good.eml, there is a line To: undisclosed-recipients:; - in bad.mbox this became: To Which messes up header and mail parsing. If you open good.eml in KMail all is fine, so the real problem is that the undisclosed-recipients:; got lost at some place (message reassembly after download? ). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Akonadi] [Bug 283682] KMail duplicates filtered messages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283682 --- Comment #121 from András Manţia aman...@kde.org --- Tobias Leopold, you are probably right of being a timing issue. If you can reproduce it, and could work on the code, the chances of fixing it would be high(er). As I pointed out already, I use POP3 and IMAP with local filters on two machines and didn't see this problem for a long time, so best would be to fix on a machine where it actually manifests it. It was a long time ago when I last worked on Akonadi/KMail code, but here are some hints: - add debug output (possibly with timestamps) in the filtering and the akonadi code. You might have to do that both in the akonadi server and the akonadi resources (filter agent and the base classes) - the filter agent is in kdepim/mailfilteragent, the starting point could be mailfilteragent.cpp and there the itemAdded() method. This is called when a new mail appeares in a monitored folder (ie. the inbox) - itemsReceiviedForFiltering() there is called when the filter agent retrieves the above item (so it can analyze that it needs to be filtered or not) - interesting code could be also in Akonadi::AgentBase class (kdepimlibs repository) and the changeRecorder() part, but only if you can't figure out anything useful from the above - mailfilteragent/filtermanager.cpp is the code that does the filtering. processContextItem() is the method that does the move/copy of the messages. Adding debug output here also makes sense to see when does this happen - for the server itself you can enable debugging in the akonadiconsole app, although this will give you lots of data and will make things slow, so better make sure you don't get lot of mails while debugging is enabled. But it can show all the communication between the akonadi server and the clients and all the jobs running and their order. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Akonadi] [Bug 305987] Could not create collection when adding new top-level mailbox for IMAP account:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305987 András Manţia aman...@kde.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Version Fixed In||4.10.2291143291143 Resolution|--- |FIXED Latest Commit|3aa88cb5f00ce577299b7aba8dd |http://commits.kde.org/kdep |3b062554d7db4 |im-runtime/d8fd7a28e7d6d8a8 ||9dd398311d423118ff529718 --- Comment #9 from András Manţia aman...@kde.org --- Git commit d8fd7a28e7d6d8a89dd398311d423118ff529718 by Andras Mantia. Committed on 28/03/2013 at 22:45. Pushed by amantia into branch 'KDE/4.10'. 1) Fix creation of new toplevel folders (and all its subfolder): it used to generate a broken remote id and separtor (i) causing weird problems. 2) Make sure toplevel imap folders are shown immediately, without a need to sync the account (workarounds an ETM bug 291143) 3) Warn the user if creating a folder failed on server-side and remove the folder locally. Otherwise if creation failed, it was impossible to create again a folder with the same name, as it was already a folder with that name in the akonadi cache... 4) Make sure deleting folder foo doesn't deleted all folders starting with foo as it did before. 5) Just fix folder deletion. :) It could fail in certain cases. 6) Fix and adapt the tests. Reporters of closed bugs: if you can still see the bug in 4.10.2, please reopen and state the details.
