[kmail2] [Bug 328330] New: mail accounts for sending and receiving should be able to share the password

2013-12-02 Thread Frederik Gladhorn
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328330

Bug ID: 328330
Summary: mail accounts for sending and receiving should be able
to share the password
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.2
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: config dialog
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: gladh...@kde.org

I update my email password in regular intervals.
Whenever I update it, I need to change the password for sending, receiving and
ldap.
It would be great if there was a way to let kmail know that the accounts are
connected and should all be updated simultaneously. I guess it is that way for
99% of the users.

Reproducible: Always

[kmail2] [Bug 322958] KMail: duplicate special folder causes endless loop Emitting defaultFoldersChanged

Seeing that there were several people that got this bug fixed by removing
duplicate special folders it would be a good idea to investigate

a) what causes creation of duplicate special folders
b) how to not go crazy if there are duplicates

I have the same symptoms - on a laptop everythig works fine, but on a machine
using exchange-imap nothing seems to work. (well, it takes ages to open a

On the shell I get this debug output (continously, all the time the same

Thanks Daniel!!!
So it is fixed for me as soon as I deleted a second outbox of the empty
local folders account.
I had one outbox in English, the other one in Norwegian, so I guess changing
languages has the potential to mess things up by creating duplicate special
folders.
Now I have kmail working at great speeds again :)

--- Comment #3 from Frederik Gladhorn gladh...@kde.org ---
I have the same issue, after password change I get asked for the password every
time. It makes sense that it asks once, but the new password doesn't make it
into the wallet.
I just checked and I have the original password (before the change) in the
.kde/share/config/kabldaprc instead of KWallet. That is another problem... I
may have clicked ok to store it in there at some point though.

[Bug 284172] Kmail does not correctly recognize some IMAP-Inbox-Folders

--- Comment #10 from Frederik Gladhorn gladh...@kde.org ---
I have exactly the same on Kubuntu 12.10 - KMail2 4.9.3. My inbox would not
sync until I disabled all server side subscriptions. I can try to help
debugging if any additional information is needed.
It seems that for new imap accounts the server side subscription is enabled by
default which makes this problem so much more visible compared to old setups
where it was not.

Hi Laurent,
in order to get the accessibility to work you need either Orca or Accerciser
running.
But as Joanie said, that's unrelated in this case.

[Bug 188313] New: Pasting files results in links. Attachments would be nicer.

2009-03-28 Thread Frederik Gladhorn
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188313

Summary: Pasting files results in links. Attachments would be
nicer.
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gladh...@kde.org

Version:(using KDE 4.2.1)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Unspecified Linux

In kde 3 versions of KMail when pasting a link (eg copy a file from konqueror),
KMail used to offer to attach the file. With KDE 4 KMail instead pasts a link
(file://...).
It would be nice if the old behavior would work again.
Thanks!
