[kmail2] [Bug 316153] can't move or delete messages in imap inbox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316153 Gauss <third-imp...@gmx.de> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||third-imp...@gmx.de --- Comment #25 from Gauss <third-imp...@gmx.de> --- I can also confirm "this" bug, while a bit different then in the original report. I can move mails between folders, but the delete aka purge function does not seem to work. Deleted mails are greyed out and can neither be selected nor purged within kmail. The mails are marked as deleted (in my IMAP webinterface), however purge is not being called, although the folder compression option to purge deleted mails is checked in the settings. ! This bug is particularly grave when combined with mail filtering. The filter first moves the mail to another folder, but cannot purge it. The next times the filter is called that non-purged mail is again filtered and moved to that folder. So each time the filter is called, in the target folder there is the original mail plus nFilterCalls x the non-purged mail. The account basically explodes if many big mails are received and the filter is called often. ! If I go to my IMAP web interface and manually purge the deleted mails everything is fine again... until new mails arrive. So the only thing I can do is disable my filters, thus this bug actually breaks a lot more features! The bug exists since an upgrade from Ubuntu 15.04 to 15.10, Kmail version is 5.0.2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kmail2] [Bug 334458] New: Attachments in /tmp are NOT opened read-only
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334458 Bug ID: 334458 Summary: Attachments in /tmp are NOT opened read-only Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.13.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: third-imp...@gmx.de While some people complain(ed) about attachments being opened read-only for me the opposite is happening. If I click on an attachment in Kmail, the attachment of the mail is saved in some /tmp/kde-username/kontact-../ folder having read-write permissions, which I consider dangerous. If a mail has more then one attachment the other files are saved too in /tmp, though these all have read-only permissions and realy only the file I clicked on has read-write. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open attachment by clicking on it (do not save it) Actual Results: File has read-write permissions. Expected Results: File should be read-only. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[kmail2] [Bug 332026] New: Kmail mixes up IMAP folders, causing huge data loss due to misplaced expiry dates
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332026 Bug ID: 332026 Summary: Kmail mixes up IMAP folders, causing huge data loss due to misplaced expiry dates Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.12.3 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: third-imp...@gmx.de Hello kmail team, after using kmail till ~4.9 I switched to Thunderbird due to some annoying bugs. I wanted to give the new 4.12.3 version a chance, so I started up kmail and connected my IMAP account, because I had deleted the account from Akonadi when I switched to Thunderbird. Although I have deleted it, some of my settings were still present like filters, expiry dates etc. which shouldn't be a bad thing in the first place. The problem is, that although none of the IMAP folder names have changed, kmail mixed up the folders, e.g. a filter which should move new mails like Logfiles to Administration/Logfiles it moved them to ProjectXY/ImportantStuff . The real problem is, that the same thing happened for the expiry dates. The folder Administration/Logfiles had an expiry date of 30 days, the folder ProjectXY/ImportantStuff had none. As the two folders were internally swapped all old mails in ProjectXY/ImportantStuff got deleted. This did not just happen to two folders but kmail rampaged through my whole IMAP account. When I noticed it was already too late. I haven't tried to reproduce this and will not try, but I suspect kmail is storing the info for the folders not by the folder name but maybe by some Akonadi ID (?), and the ordering of those IDs was changed when I readded the account. I think this is a highly critical and dangerous bug. While not appearing for everyday use it can cause tremendous data loss. Reproducible: Didn't try Actual Results: Filters move files to wrong directories, expiry dates are applied on the wrong directories causing data loss. Expected Results: Either filters / expiry dates should be removed when the IMAP account is removed or a method should be implemented to ensure a correct association of the filters to the IMAP directories, once the account is readded (e.g. a simple identification by name would do the trick). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Akonadi] [Bug 314900] Huge memory usage just for the calendar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314900 Gauss third-imp...@gmx.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||third-imp...@gmx.de --- Comment #5 from Gauss third-imp...@gmx.de --- I can confirm this bug for KDE 4.10.1 on Kubuntu 12.10. The memory usage is ridiculously high for the calendar components. The akonadi_kcal_resources of which I have 8 use between 40MB-230 MB, together 670MB + korgac ~450 MB, resulting in 1120 MB just for calendar components. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294673 --- Comment #5 from Gauss third-imp...@gmx.de --- (In reply to comment #4) I can confirm this on openSUSE with 4.8.1. Kmail cannot open emails forwarded by itself. Actually it's not just mail forwarded by itself, which can't be opened, Kmail cannot open ANY mails forwarded to you by no mather who, apart from selecting it in the structure pane.
