know why, and I checked my disk with du (forgot about Filelight :S), and I saw
a .local/share/akonadi/db_data/mysql.err.old of 81 GiB and and a growing

Hi Jonas,

I have exactly the same issue as you. My organization only allows Evolution
EWS. Here is how I changed the value of the Oauth2AppId usign qdbus:

qdbus org.freedesktop.Akonadi.Resource.akonadi_ews_resource_0 /Settings
org.kde.Akonadi.Ews.Settings.setOAuth2AppId
"751cf8be-ca07-484b-9308-fac4b9d85eff"

However, it did not work, because not only they check the app id but also how
the app responses and if it not as expected, you will not be able to log in. In
my case I got the following error:

AADSTS50011: The reply URL specified in the request does not match the reply
URLs configured for the application: '751cf8be-ca07-484b-9308-fac4b9d85eff'.

Try with the Outlook's appid. In my case, that didn't do the trick either. Hope
you are more lucky than me.

I applied the patch, and I haven't had any crashes for almost two days. If it
continues like these for a few more days, then I guess that was also my
problem. One of my accounts was crashing continuously at random times (one or
two times per day).

Thank you Ahmad Samir for fixing the issue!

Trying to debug a different issue (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422870)
I had to install some VMs so I decided to try to use my certificate on them. In
both KDE Neon and a fresh Archlinux installation it works! So this is clearly
an issue of my computer and not a bug in kmail/kleopatra. Please close the

[kmail2] [Bug 417862] Kmail doesn't allow to sign messages

2020-02-26 Thread Iyán Méndez Veiga
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417862

--- Comment #1 from Iyán Méndez Veiga ---
Is Kmail development active? These kind of regressions can't happen in a good
mail client. I mean, first all the random imap crashes that have been reported
since last upgrade and doesn't allow me to use a particular account, and now
this. Honestly, I can't use Kmail anymore in the office and I'm trying other
clients till these bugs are fixed. It's really a pity since Kmail has been my
email client for years...

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate all the work from the KDE community, but maybe
instead of adding new features would be better to add more tests to detect
commits that break things. I would like to be able to contribute to the project
and fix them, but I can't. So the only thing I can do is report the bugs. I'm
not asking, of course, to be fixed immediately, but at least see some kind of
activity. The only thing I see is bugs being closed because they are (sometimes
not that clear to me) duplicates.

2020-02-18 Thread Iyán Méndez Veiga
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417862

Bug ID: 417862
Summary: Kmail doesn't allow to sign messages
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: crypto
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@iyanmv.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Today I needed to send a signed message and Kmail doesn't allow me. It is
something I have done in the past without any issues, so I don't know at which
point this feature broke for me (but for sure after 22 January when I sent last
signed email with the same certificate using Kmail).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add an S/MIME certificate to an identity
2. Create new email and send it using that identity

OBSERVED RESULT

When trying to send I get the following error.

Sending message failed. Could not compose message: Address family not supported
by protocol.

EXPECTED RESULT

No error when trying to use that certificate as in the past.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux with linux kernel 5.5.4
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It does work when using a OpenPGP signing key.

What I should do to get them? I compiled kdepim-runtime following these
instructions in order to get them:

In particular, I used -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RelWithDebInfo. I would like to help

Why Bug 415960 has been marked as a duplicate of this, and Bug 414685 not? I
don't think my bug is exactly same as this one (I didn't wake up from sleep
state). Sometimes it crashes while using the computer, other times with the
screen locked, but I never put computers into a sleep state.

[Akonadi] [Bug 414685] imap_resource crash after manual check

2019-12-26 Thread Iyán Méndez Veiga
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414685

--- Comment #3 from Iyán Méndez Veiga ---
Today I realized that my issue only seems to appear when I leave the computer
locked. If I don't lock the computer, Kmail keeps working and there is no
crush. If I lock it, after a while imap resource crash and I have to close
Kmail, do a akonadictl fsck + vacuum + restart, and then open again Kmail.

Maybe some issue with akonadi and lockscreen since last release?

I have contacted my hosting provider to get the details about the IMAP servers
they used for my account. This is the info they sent me:

# dovecot --version
2.3.7.2 (3c910f64b)

# exim --version | head -1
Exim version 4.90

--- Comment #1 from Iyán Méndez Veiga ---
I am experiencing same issue in Archlinux since the last major upgrade of KDE
Apps:

Qt: 5.13.2
KDE Plasma: 5.17.4
Frameworks: 5.64.0
KDE Applications: 19.12.0

In my case I don't need to refresh, it just crashes after some time in a random
manner.

What seems to fix it (for some time) is doing this:

akonadictl fsck
akonadictl vacuum
akonadictl restart

As it was proposed to try here:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=251405

What is strange is that it only affect one of my accounts (it is not Gmail
btw).
