[kmail2] [Bug 393421] No ability to hide the HTML Message Status Bar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393421 --- Comment #11 from Jani-Matti Hätinen <jani-matti.hati...@iki.fi> --- If you're worried that new users won't be able to switch between HTML and non-HTML message views (a feature, which no one uses btw) make the HTML status bar visible by default and add a comment to the configuration page about the lost functionality if the bar is disabled. Simply forcing the bar on all users does absolutely nothing to promote said functionality. 99,5% of Kmail users are old users. Quit messing around with their settings. We've set it up the way we like it, and we know what we've done and why. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 364967] New: Kmail message list does not remember rightmost column width
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364967 Bug ID: 364967 Summary: Kmail message list does not remember rightmost column width Product: kmail2 Version: 5.2.1 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: message list Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: jani-matti.hati...@iki.fi I've setup the Kmail message list using the two-row with clickable state style so that there's no horizontal scroll bar. Every time I restart Kmail, it needlessly expands the rightmost clickable state column and thus causes a horizontal scroll bar to appear. I have not modified the clickable state style in any way. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Adjust column widths to your liking 2. Restart Kmail Actual Results: Rightmost column is expanded needlessly Expected Results: Column widths should remain as set by the user -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338658 --- Comment #26 from Jani-Matti Hätinen jani-matti.hati...@iki.fi --- The root cause is that if you move an e-mail (or any node basically) into a folder, which already has the same identical e-mail/node, this error pops up. So instead of doing the only sane thing imaginable (i.e. seeing that that the e-mails/nodes are identical copies) this piece of shit errors out without even giving the user an idea where problem is. [Akonadi] [Bug 327483] New: Akonadi server keeps restarting while fetching mail and reading mail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327483 Bug ID: 327483 Summary: Akonadi server keeps restarting while fetching mail and reading mail Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 4.11 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: IMAP resource Assignee: er...@kde.org Reporter: jani-matti.hati...@iki.fi CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org In KDE 4.11.2 and 4.11.3 (and akonadi 1.10.2) fetching mail in kmail will cause the akonadi server to crash and restart time after time. The same thing happens randomly while reading mail, switching between mail folders, etc. I'm using the sqlite backend. With KDE 4.10.5 and akonadi 1.9.2 everything is fine. Any thoughts on how to get reasonable debug output out of akonadi would be most appreciated. akonadiconsole doesn't show anything special and no crash dialog ever pops up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start kmail 4.11 2. Start fetching, or reading mail Actual Results: The kmail interface repeatedly flashes the message that the akonadi service is not running and then reloads the mail folders. Actually reading or handling mail is impossible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

This bug is super annoying. Also, this is somewhat of a regression from Kmail 1 series, where the message list was at least focused on the last message selected in the folder. In Kmail 2 the last selected message is not remembered between folder changes. IMHO a preferable fix would be one, which would implement both things. I.e. when opening the message list of a mail folder: - Scroll to the message that was selected when the user last switched away from the folder - If such a message is not found (no message has ever been selected, or knowledge of the selected message has disappeared) scroll to show the latest e-mails in the folder Also running Kmail 2.0.89 on KDE 4.6.0 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
