[kmailtransport] [Bug 392049] New: weird mailtransport issue (sending only part of the email)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392049 Bug ID: 392049 Summary: weird mailtransport issue (sending only part of the email) Product: kmailtransport Version: 5.7.2 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: t.kleindie...@web.de Target Milestone: --- kmail2/kontact Trying to send "text only" email through SMTP (Kolab Server) sometimes it delivers only a fraction (first single line) of the email. If the text of the email starts with two simple dots like <--nsip--> . . Hello friend <--snip--> it delivers only the first line (a single dot .) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333403 --- Comment #3 from T Kleindienst --- I experience the same. I assume this has to do with the fact, the search is now done by utilizing the baloo index table. As "[" is hardly going to be stored inside the index table the new search method will fail to look for "fragments" of words or single characters. Sadly I also was relying on this "powerful" ability to even filter fragments or single characters from the headers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

All email-folders consume about 5.1 Gb. After login akonadi-nepomuk eats all the CPU and the system gets unresponsive for about 2 minutes. System is OpenSuse 11.3 with decent hardware Intel Core i5, 4x3.33Ghz, 4Gb Ram. $Home is located on NFS, 100Mbit wired. I understand that this process is needed to feed the akonadi-data into nepomuk. What I don't understand is, that I still use 4.4 kontact, thus akonadi is not handling the emails. What actually does akonadi-nepomuk? Can this process run with a lower priority? Or can the load be reduced by limiting the CPU consumption? I would not mind if it takes 5 or 10 minutes to run, but unobtrusive in the background. [Bug 164235] kmail stays in memory after closing, eats up all cpu and ram
--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164235 --- Additional Comments From t.kleindienst web de 2008-06-17 14:38 --- sorry it's not kmails fault... After investigating a bit further. I found the reason: It's kabc (the addressbook). I was loading a .vcf-file with 1600 entries as std.vcf. Sadly kadressbook is not capable of handling large .vcf-files it seems. 1600 adresses were causing 500 megs of RAM usage.. still strange ;-) so far... don't want to close it yet. Still trying to find out a bit more. No traceback yet. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 164235] New: kmail stays in memory after closing, eats up all cpu and ram
--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164235 Summary: kmail stays in memory after closing, eats up all cpu and ram Product: kmail Version: 1.9.9 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org ReportedBy: t.kleindienst web de Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Arch Linux) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.25-ARCH The behaviour I'm noticing only appeared after upgrading from 3.5.8 to 3.5.9 (standard precompiled Arch packages from extra repository). When starting kmail my system hangs for 10-30 seconds (core2duo 3Ghz with 4G of Ram). CPU usage goes up to 100% during this time. Application memory goes up by around 500 Mb (KsysGuard guessing ;-) After closing kmail, the window closes, but the top still shows kmail, and kmail starts to eat more and more RAM till the system gets completely unresponsive. To the rescue the only possibility is to kill the remaining kmail instance. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
