[Bug 281172] New: Knode's automatic spell checker doesn't work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281172 Summary: Knode's automatic spell checker doesn't work Product: knode Version: unspecified Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: greatbunzi...@gmail.com Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.5) OS:Linux If a user runs knode and starts to post a new message to a newsgroup through the Post to Newsgroup command, the message composition window which pops up does not provide any visual indication that the spell checker is working, no matter the options which were set at configure-posting news-spelling. What's weird is that if a user opens Knode's configure menu (settings-configure knode) and closes that menu without doing anything, let alone change any option, the message composition windows which are subsequently opened correctly display the automatic spell checker's visual indicators. So, probably some spell checking option isn't being correctly initialized when KNode is started. This would be a very helpful feature to have for a user who receives a considerable volume of emails and has filters in place to automatically move emails to certain folders. Without being able to save the filter by status messages, the user is forced to search for a new email through all the emails present in each folder, which is time-consuming, or is forced to reset the filter by status state each time he selects a new folder. Back here it doesn't do anything. Are you sure, you are not using a customized font for fixed text of message (in configuration appearance) ? Yes, the Configure-Appearance-fonts dialog doesn't have a check in the Use custom fonts option. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 199900] New: display articles text in monospace font
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199900 Summary: display articles text in monospace font Product: knode Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: greatbunzi...@gmail.com Version: 4.3 RC2 (using KDE 4.2.96) Installed from:Ubuntu Packages Some usenet posts/emails are written to take advantage of fixed width fonts to be able to convey certain messages (small diagrams, ASCII art, etc...). Therefore it's useful to be able to display the articles in fixed width fonts. Nonetheless, fixed width fonts aren't necessarily the best fonts to read all sorts of text. So, in order to get the best of both worlds, it would be great if knode offered a way to toggle between a fixed width font and a non-fixed width font. There is already a feature which is labelled as use fixed font, which is available not only through the view menu and right-click menu but also through the X keyboard shortcut. Nonetheless, that feature doesn't appear to do anything. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 193350] New: Set spellchecker language for individual newsgroups
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193350 Summary: Set spellchecker language for individual newsgroups Product: knode Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: greatbunzi...@gmail.com Version: 0.99.01 (using KDE 4.2.2) Installed from:Ubuntu Packages At the moment knode only supports a single spellchecker language. On the other hand, there are multilingual users who subscribe to newsgroups that carry discussions in separate languages, which means that if a multilingual user wishes to post a new message to a newsgroup that has adopted a language other than the default KNode language then he is forced to manually change that each and every time he decides to write a post. It would be great if KNode enabled the user to set the spellchecker language for individual newsgroups, so that when that user decides to write a new post the new article window would appear with the spellchecker set to check for the user's prefered language. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 191241] New: Implement ability to disable sound notifications through email filters.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191241 Summary: Implement ability to disable sound notifications through email filters. Product: kmail Version: 1.11.2 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: greatbunzi...@gmail.com Version: 1.11.2 (using KDE 4.2.2) Installed from:Ubuntu Packages I receive a set of emails that don't require my immediate attention. Nonetheless, if I happen to periodically check for emails and if in one of those checks I happen to receive only that sort of emails then kmail triggers the new email sound notification. As it is possible to disable the visual notification on the system tray (mark emails as read), it would also be great if it was also possible to disable the audio notification. To put it in other words, it would be great if kmail's filters also featured an action that disabled the sound notifications for those emails that fit the filter's criteria. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75866 --- Additional Comments From greatbunzinni gmail com 2008-02-19 17:05 --- I don't see where exactly is there a need to implement this feature in kmail. It is better to store all sent emails in a single directory and then filter out the information as you see fit, including date. If you start splitting those emails up then you will lose the power to easily go through your emails. Moreover, if you believe you absolutely need this feature then, as all emails are stored in plain text format, it is very easy to write a small script that goes through the emails in any directory and move out those which fall into some category, including date sent. Why not give it a try? On the other hand, as this wishlist report basically stood still since 2005, then I do believe that no one really wants this feature. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
