However, it seem the old variable name was still supported up to MySQL 5.5. After upgrading to MySQL 5.6, akonadi server fails to start up due to usage of this deprecated variable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Upgrade to MySQL 5.6 2. Start Akonadi server Actual Results: Akonadi fails to start. Expected Results: Akonadi should start normally.
