... it seems to not reproduce now I try it, but in the meantime I'm afraid I've
stopped using akkregator alltogether, sorry :(

(the whole Kontact suite stopped working for about a year after akonadi decided
it had issues, and I could never find a good solution for it. That has started
working again? But that also meant I got weaned off from using it.)

No, because people don't post links to youtube feeds that often.

[akregator] [Bug 399827] New: Random crash when switching to feed entry [GDB backtrace]

2018-10-15 Thread wolthera
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399827

Bug ID: 399827
Summary: Random crash when switching to feed entry [GDB
backtrace]
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: griffinval...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I'd been having a random crash with akregator when going through my feeds, most
of the time it crashed on the Gaming on Linux(https://www.gamingonlinux.com/)
full article feed, but this time it was crashing on a gitlab commit feed. I'd
been running akregator in gdb so I could get a backtrace because konqi isn't
popping up for some reason.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Using + to go through entries.
2. Sometimes get a crash.

[syndication] [Bug 398071] New: feed autodiscovery relies on link attributes being in a certain order.

Bug ID: 398071
Summary: feed autodiscovery relies on link attributes being in
a certain order.
   Product: syndication
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Target Milestone: ---

Right now, when pasting a regular url into akregator, akregator can find the
related feed if the header contains something along the lines of this:

However, because syndication, which is how akregator offers this feature, uses
a regexp to parse this value, the following is not found:

Because the href and ref are not in the order the regexp looks for them.

It does this at loader.cpp 149
