I'm getting this error with updated KDE Neon.
Seems like it happens after waking up from suspend and/or changing network
(haven't tested this properly yet).
Restarting Kontact resolves this problem until next suspend+wakeup.
I'm connecting to the Internet by WiFi - connection itself works OK, only
Akregator (and KMail? Whole Kontact?) have issues.

I've not noticed this on Akregator version 5.16.3 (20.12.3).

Are you able to please check and confirm if this issue is still occurring?

I've set this bug to NEEDSINFO. When you reply, please change the bug back to
REPORTED so we know it's ready for investigation or RESOLVED/WORKSFORME if the
issue is now resolved.

Yes, this bug still happens here with akregator/kontact/kmail 5.3.0, frameworks
5.27.0, qt 5.7.0
I don't have any network "manager" present as i don't need any. (nm, wicd, etc
)

Maybe there should be an "assume always online" option that bypasses these
"smart" checks.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been
unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still
present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of akregator (version
5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in
about three months.

I do have ntrack in networks. This new command works me 
qdbus org.kde.kded /modules/networkstatus setNetworkStatus ntrack 4

(I actually went already for the long version provided in
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28850 )
