This bug is happening on my laptop in 2023, desktop is fine. Both are using
Fedora.

Any hints on how I can collect relevant information?

I came across this when reporting bug #387056. The solution seems to reside in
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154131#c6 talking about DBus timeout.
Please check whether this is applicable to this product.
