[Kernel-packages] [Bug 455942] Re: WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/net/mac80211/scan.c:281 ieee80211_scan_completed+0xf1/0x470 [mac80211]()
SlingshotSuicide, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available (not the daily folder, but the one at the top) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.13-rc4 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding. ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 525734 WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.32/net/mac80211/scan.c:288 ieee80211_scan_completed+0x290/0x2a0 [mac80211]() ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/455942 Title: WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/net/mac80211/scan.c:281 ieee80211_scan_completed+0xf1/0x470 [mac80211]() Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Not sure what happened, system was up, first I knew about it was the crash applet. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1194761] Re: Camera - Microdia [0c45:648d] rev 1c.07, unable to take still pictures with camera_test (fswebcam)
Po-Hsu Lin, thank you for the consolidated focus of this report. One thing that is of interest is , as per http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/inspiron-14r-se-7420 an update is available for your BIOS (A19). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and just provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Thank you for your understanding. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194761 Title: Camera - Microdia [0c45:648d] rev 1c.07, unable to take still pictures with camera_test (fswebcam) Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: CID: 201203-10664 Dell Inspiron 7420 On this system, the camera_test script is able to display video capture form the built-in camera. What I expect to happen (what happened before): - Connect to N network - Do a speedest.net - get ~32Mbps What actually happens: - With N network I get ~1Mbps - Disabled wifi / speedtest via ethernet ~32Mbps / restarted modem and router anyway, same results What I do instead: - I change my router settings to BG-mixed (for the same network) - then I get ~8Mbps Now, I was offered a few updates earlier today and didn't really look at what was updated. However, this behaviour is new, it didn't happen before and I think it might be due to some update regression. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 528720] Re: Keyboard stuck with irqbalance
I haven't kept the hardware where I first saw this issue and I haven't seen it anywhere else. So as far as I'm concerned you can close this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/528720 Title: Keyboard stuck with irqbalance Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: irqbalance Shortly after logging in to the system it stops responding to keyboard and mouse (not even SysRq works). The clock is still being updated and I can access the system through SSH. Sometimes I'm able to start a terminal window with the mouse. When I then press one single key that character is repeated indefinitely in the terminal window. At the same time the mouse stops responding. When I disable irqbalance everything works fine. I haven't seen anything odd in the logs (or dmesg) and I don't know how to investigate this further. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 896922] Re: Lenovo L520 - "psmouse.c: touchpad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync" and stops working for seconds
All, I'm facing the same problem since yesterday. The trackpoint (I don't use touchpad) just freezes on my Thinkpad T420 running 12.04 and 3.2.0-57-generic-pae kernel. After reading the entire thread, I also tried Gero's suggestion but it didn't work for me. For the first time (when trackpoint froze yesterday) i got the similar errors in dmesg and syslog like: Dec 17 13:51:55 vipin-thinkpad-t420 kernel: [13612.139398] psmouse serio1: TouchPad at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost sync at byte 1 But today, the trackpoint froze for 3-4 times and such errors are not seen in logs. I also noticed that this happens when I'm typing and want to use trackpoint immediately after that. Strangely, I'm using this laptop (with same OS) since last 1+ year, this problem started to happen since yesterday only. And now it is happening everytime in only 5-10 mins after reboot.
