[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1396654] Re: C++ demangling support missing from perf
Hmm, apparently /usr/bin/perf is only a wrapper script that runs the "right" version of the perf executable for the current kernel. But the perf executable (typically inside /usr/lib/linux-tools-VERSION) is part of the "linux-tools-VERSION" package. So if I do: $ sudo apt install linux-tools-4.15.0-47/bionic-proposed and then run /usr/lib/linux-tools-4.15.0-47/perf directly, instead of the wrapper script which will still run the perf version for the LTS kernel, things finally work here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396654 Title: C++ demangling support missing from perf Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in linux-hwe package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in linux source package in Xenial: Fix Committed Status in linux-hwe source package in Xenial: Fix Committed Status in linux source package in Yakkety: Won't Fix Status in linux source package in Zesty: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Bionic: Fix Committed Status in linux-hwe source package in Bionic: Fix Committed Status in linux source package in Cosmic: Fix Committed Status in linux-hwe source package in Cosmic: Confirmed Status in linux source package in Disco: Triaged Status in linux-hwe source package in Disco: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, It appears that C++ demangling support is missing from linux-tools-3.16.0-24, on Utopic on arm64. Crash is happening randomly, but in general after some hours (3-4h). Now, we've installed kernel 4.11.0-041100-generic #201705041534 this morning and waiting for crash... For now, the machine is not "used", at least, it's not CPU stressed... [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1492764] Re: [drm:intel_pipe_config_compare [i915]] *ERROR* mismatch in ips_enabled (expected 1, found 0)
I got this issue after trying to install the nvidia-352 driver on my laptop (an optimus setup with both an Intel iGPU and a NVidia GPU). I then uninstalled the NVidia driver, but it still doesn't fix the problem, which is mysterious. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1492764 Title: [drm:intel_pipe_config_compare [i915]] *ERROR* mismatch in ips_enabled (expected 1, found 0) Status in Linux: Fix Released Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: System: Kubuntu 15.10 Since kernel version 4.2 I have a few of this errors: Sep 06 16:16:35 benediktZ50-70 kernel: [drm:intel_pipe_config_compare [i915]] *ERROR* mismatch in ips_enabled (expected 1, found 0) Sep 06 16:16:35 benediktZ50-70 kernel: [ cut here ] Sep 06 16:16:35 benediktZ50-70 kernel: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 187 at /build/linux-4dBub_/linux-4.2.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:12324 check_crtc_state+0x2c5/0x440 [i915]() Sep 06 16:16:35 benediktZ50-70 kernel: pipe state doesn't match!
