[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1450684] Re: Btrfs freeze
As far as I can tell, it was a one time event. After rebooting, I successfully deleted the directory that caused the issue (I was hoping to reproduce it). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1450684 Title: Btrfs freeze Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I was removing some data on a btrfs volume (with rm -rf directory), and my machine froze. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1393089] Re: Intel i915 driver hangs system
I downloaded the v3.18-rc2-utopic kernel, but I am having trouble booting. It doesn't seem to recognize my / partition (possible UUID problem). Either way, I have also been having trouble reproducing the bug. This happens about once a week, and I find a reliable way to reproduce the bug. Do you have any ideas? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1393089 Title: Intel i915 driver hangs system Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: My system started hanging after upgrading to 14.10. The screen freezes, all processes continue to execute, but I couldn't seem to interact with the computer. (For example, if I am in a skype call, I continue hearing the other side, they hear me too, but the screen freezes.) I noticed that if I wait about 5 minutes after the hang, try to go to tty1, the system eventually wakes up. (For example, if I am in a skype call, I continue hearing the other side, they hear me too, but the screen freezes.) I noticed that if I wait about 5 minutes after the hang, try to go to tty1, the system eventually wakes up. The following lines appear in dmesg after a wake up: [77886.653919] [ cut here ] [77886.654002] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 3044 at /build/buildd/linux-3.16.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:3324 intel_crtc_wait_for_pending_flips+0x16c/0x180 [i915]() [77886.654006] Modules linked in: nls_iso8859_1 hid_generic usbhid hid pci_stub vboxpci(OE) vboxnetadp(OE) vboxnetflt(OE) vboxdrv(OE) nvram rfcomm bnep binfmt_misc dm_crypt uvcvideo videobuf2_vmalloc videobuf2_memops videobuf2_core v4l2_common videodev media btusb bluetooth 6lowpan_iphc arc4 iwldvm mac80211 dell_wmi sparse_keymap dell_laptop dcdbas intel_rapl x86_pkg_temp_thermal intel_powerclamp kvm_intel snd_hda_codec_hdmi kvm snd_hda_codec_conexant crct10dif_pclmul snd_hda_codec_generic crc32_pclmul ghash_clmulni_intel cryptd snd_hda_intel snd_hda_controller snd_hda_codec snd_hwdep joydev snd_pcm serio_raw snd_seq_midi snd_seq_midi_event iwlwifi snd_rawmidi snd_seq cfg80211 snd_seq_device snd_timer lpc_ich snd soundcore shpchp mei_me mei dell_smo8800 cuse parport_pc ppdev mac_hid coretemp lp parport [77886.654084] btrfs xor raid6_pq ums_realtek uas usb_storage i915 i2c_algo_bit atl1c drm_kms_helper drm ahci psmouse libahci wmi video [77886.654109] CPU: 0 PID: 3044 Comm: Xorg Tainted: G OE 3.16.0-24-generic #32-Ubuntu [77886.654113] Hardware name: Dell Inc.
