[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1382396] Re: Booting Ubuntu is very slow because of hang with USB mouse

2014-10-18 Thread Carlo Cavalieri D'Oro
Hi, I make you a simple question for deleting other causes:

Have you got, in the bios priority for booting, the usb port at first
place instead of the HDD?

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1085270] Re: problem brightness adjustment by Fn keys with linux-image-3.2.0-34-generic-pae

2013-08-09 Thread Carlo Cavalieri D'Oro
I've fixed this problem in this way:

1) sudo gedit /etc/default/grub

2) In this row GRUB__CMDLINE___LINUX__DEFAULT=quiet splash

I've added acpi___backlight=vendor --

GRUB_CMDLINELINUX_DEFAULT=quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor

3) I saved the file and close it.

4)  sudo update-grub

5) Reboot the system and I've tried special key Fn.

Thank you to everybody.

Bye.
