Sure I'll try to do that in the next few days. Once I boot with those
params should I reattach /proc/bus/input/devices?

Also my touchpad started working all of a sudden. I turned my laptop on
and the touchpad was just working for some reason. I see the touchpad
entry in /proc/bus/input/devices as well now.

  I just reinstalled kubuntu and while using my laptop my touchpad
  stopped working. I restarted my computer and now the touchpad doesn't
  show up at all and doesn't work. I followed the instructions here
