[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1244587] Re: bcmwl breaks ethernet controller BCM4401
as far I can see the described issue aint a duplicate of 1097519 ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1097519 bcmwl-kernel-source_6.20 update breaks for BCM4313 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bcmwl in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244587 Title: bcmwl breaks ethernet controller BCM4401 Status in “bcmwl” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: bcmwl blacklists module b44 in /etc/modprobe/blacklist-bcm43.conf which causes that no driver for ethernet controller broadcom BCM4401 will be loaded. Blacklisting module b44 by bcmwl seems unlogical because bcmwl does not offer any driver for bcm4401. This issue does not exists while using saucy live cd enviroment, but after installing saucy you do not have ethernet connection Steps to reproduce: install saucy 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1244587/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
