[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2037214] Re: evict_inodes inode xxx, i_count = 1, was skipped!

2023-12-01 Thread Espen
I'm also getting these testing on 6.5.0-10-generic and here the issue is
triggered by enabling the docker service.

  [ 13.412673] evict_inodes inode ec873c71, i_count = 1, was skipped!

Those messages are not displayed when I boot my system with a mainline Linux
kernel.
Moreover, in the mainline Linux source code, I do not find the lines where
such a message could be printed.

Therefore, those messages are probably caused by an Ubuntu patch.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1317569] Re: [HP ZBook 17 Mobile Workstation] Nikon Coolpix S31 not recognized

2014-05-12 Thread Espen Ore
I have run the lsusb command. Since I am now at work, this comes from
another computer, a Dell Latitude E6520. But I also have the problem on
a Dell Inspiron in addition to the HP first mentioned, so this seems to
be a general Ubuntu 14.04-problem and not a computer-specific problem.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1317569] Re: [HP ZBook 17 Mobile Workstation] Nikon Coolpix S31 not recognized

2014-05-12 Thread Espen Ore
Honestly, this goes towards nonsense. The bug appears in *all* my
computers whether I use 32bit or 64bit Ubuntu 14.04 and whether i use a
Dell Latitude, Dell Inspiron or a HP-computer. This is obviously a very
general bug in the 14.04-version of Ubuntu.

Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1310303] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 does not recognize my FujiFilm FinePix S1600 camera any more

2014-05-07 Thread Espen Ore
Hi,

Just a few questions:

1. This is something you wish me to do while I try to connect to the
camera that is unrecognized? I ask because I am now at work and this
camera is at home, so I can probably not check it until tomorrow.

2. I am not so advanced in Ubuntu, so I do not really know what the
difference between an Ubuntu repository kernel and a mainline one. And I
especially do not know what I should do to change between them.

Best regards,
Espen

Bug description:
  Description: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

  Hi,

Since the upgrade to 14.04 yesterday, I can't access my camera
(FujiFilm FinePix S1600) anymore. This is what is logged into
/var/log/syslog when I plug the camera in the usb port:

  Apr 20 17:04:55 mm-xx kernel: [20993.276918] usb 3-2: new high-speed USB

But there is no icon in the Nautilus to open the camera and copy the

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1310303] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 does not recognize my FujiFilm FinePix S1600 camera any more

2014-04-28 Thread Espen Ore
I can just add that it seems that the problem occurs in Ubuntu 14.04 generally
and depends on the type of camera. This goes for Dell Inspiron, Dell Latitude
and HP ZBook. My Nikon Coolpix S31 is not mounted although I can find it with
lsusb which gives:
Bus 003 Device 005: ID 04b0:0341 Nikon Corp.
And I can extract images from the camera with Camera.app v. 0.8

On the other hand my Olymus XZ-1 is recognized as before.

I have installed apport if you want any data from one of my computers.
