[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1221327] Re: [Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq nc6400 (RR980UC#ABF)] suspend/resume failure

2013-09-05 Thread Id2ndR
Actually I got the apport popup days later, and I did a suspend/resume
cycle just after installing some critical updates (upstart, X/mesa). So
I misleaded the condition and this bug probably won't appear again. I'll
close it.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1020650] Re: Ralink module rt5572sta isn't included in linux-image-{generic, server}

2013-08-25 Thread Id2ndR
The support is done in saucy within short range from the access point
(about 15 meters). There is a patch that allows to connect further and
that may be committed latter.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1093758] Re: udisks-daemon use lots of CPU and need 3 secondes to mount my Kingston USB drive

2013-08-07 Thread Id2ndR
The bug still exist on saucy with kernel 3.10.0.6.15
However the processes are different, and the time to open is worse than
previous version. Here is the 3 first line of top output when I plug the usb
drive:
 4497 root 20 0 11788 1776 852 S 9,6 0,1 0:01.34 systemd-udevd
 4503 root 20 0 000 S 7,3 0,0 0:00.99 usb-storage
 2064 root 20 0 51900 4624 3356 S 3,0 0,2 0:01.64 udisksd

Sorry but I won't waste my time to test the latest kernel even if it is
a deb package in kernel PPA (I'm pretty sure that the but still exist
with this hardware that is nearly ten years old).

udisk --monitor output lots of "changed:

  I tried to change sdc1 partition type from 6 (fat16) to b (fat32)
because I'm not sure of the filesystem but that doesn't change
anything about udisks-daemon CPU usage and delay before be able to
  mount the partition.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 but the bug has existed in previous version too.
This bug may be related to #726814.

Title:

  USB drive

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:

ELITE
  - The trouble doesn't exist with other USB drive I have.
  - The trouble is reproducible on every single computer: it isn't related to
my hardware confirguration

udisk --monitor output lots of "changed:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc" before "added:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc1".

Title:
udisks-daemon use lots of CPU and need 3 secondes to mount my Kingston
  USB drive

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  - Hardware: 08ec:0015 M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers Kingston DataTraveler
ELITE
  - The trouble doesn't exist with other USB drive I have.
  - The trouble is reproducible on every single computer: it isn't related to
my hardware confirguration

udisk --monitor output lots of "changed:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc" before "added:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc1".

Title:
udisks-daemon use lots of CPU and need 3 secondes to mount my Kingston
  USB drive

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  - Hardware: 08ec:0015 M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers Kingston DataTraveler
ELITE
  - The trouble doesn't exist with other USB drive I have.
  - The trouble is reproducible on every single computer: it isn't related to
my hardware confirguration

udisk --monitor output lots of "changed:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc" before "added:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc1".

Title:
udisks-daemon use lots of CPU and need 3 secondes to mount my Kingston
  USB drive

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  - Hardware: 08ec:0015 M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers Kingston DataTraveler
ELITE
  - The trouble doesn't exist with other USB drive I have.
  - The trouble is reproducible on every single computer: it isn't related to
my hardware confirguration

udisk --monitor output lots of "changed:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc" before "added:
  /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc1".
