[Kernel-packages] [Bug 974455] Re: [Lenovo IdeaPad U300s] 't' key sends Hiragana-Katana
Thank you for your update Christopher. I worked around the problem by draining the battery, as described in more than one post above. This was many months ago, and since then I've not had the problem again. I won't be updating my BIOS any time soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/974455 Title: [Lenovo IdeaPad U300s] 't' key sends Hiragana-Katana Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Since booting today, my laptop's 't' key (physical) does not function correctly. Instead of sending the correct keycode, it sends Hiragana-Katakana. I use a dvorak keyboard layout, so it ought to map to 'y' for me. jpds reports that cparrino has had the same issue on nearly-identical hardware, and that the key also does not work in grub. He also provides this work-around: $ xmodmap -e keycode 101 = t Which only works in qwerty. Use keycode 101 = y for dvorak. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1253951] Re: Intel wifi power save polling (PSP) causes connection issues with some access points
I haven't kept accurate enough logs. I switched router at roughly the same time as a dist-upgrade. The blog post which led me to fix this problem is dated 2012. It might be a while before I get around to trying the kernel but will update bug when I do so. On Fri Nov 22 2013 at 4:41:10 PM, Joseph Salisbury joseph.salisb...@canonical.com wrote: Did this issue occur in a previous version of Ubuntu, or is this a new issue? [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1253951] [NEW] Intel wifi power save polling (PSP) causes connection issues with some access points
Public bug reported: I got a new router (ASUS RT-AC66U) and wifi on my laptop started getting really slow, most noticeable in the way it dropped packets and had very long roundtrip times for 'ping 8.8.8.8' Searching online, I discovered that this might be due to a power saving feature, which says that some routers have a bug that makes power save polling not work.
