[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1950436] Re: Linux Mint 20.2, Kernel 5.13.0-21 closing lid > screen granulation
Same bug in Linux Mint 20.3 Una on Tuxedo Aura15 Gen1. After upgrading to kernel 5.13.0-25-generic I get white noise instead of login-screen after waking up from suspend or after screen was turned off due to power management. This is also present in 5.13.0-27-generic. This has happened also one time directly after booting, akin to description of similar/same(?) bug #1952155 here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1952155 Booting in older kernel resolves problem (5.11.0-46-generic) System:Kernel: 5.11.0-46-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: N/A Desktop: Cinnamon 5.2.7 wm: muffin dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 20.3 Una base: Ubuntu 20.04 focal Machine: Type: Laptop System: TUXEDO product: TUXEDO Aura 15 Gen1 v: N/A serial: Chassis: Notebook type: 10 serial: Mobo: TUXEDO s model: AURA1501 serial: UEFI: INSYDE v: 1.07.03RTR2 date: 11/13/2020 Battery: ID-1: BAT0 charge: 20.5 Wh condition: 40.5/48.3 Wh (84%) volts: 15.3/15.2 model: Notebook BAT serial: status: Unknown CPU: Topology: 8-Core model: AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics bits: 64 type: MCP arch: Zen rev: 1 L2 cache: 4096 KiB flags: avx avx2 lm nx pae sse sse2 sse3 sse4_1 sse4_2 sse4a ssse3 svm bogomips: 31938 Speed: 1397 MHz min/max: 1400/2000 MHz Core speeds (MHz): 1: 1397 2: 1397 3: 1397 4: 1397 5: 1996 6: 1423 7: 1331 8: 1331 Graphics: Device-1: AMD Renoir vendor: CLEVO/KAPOK driver: amdgpu v: kernel bus ID: 05:00.0 chip ID: 1002:1636 Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.13 driver: amdgpu, ati unloaded: fbdev, modesetting, vesa resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz OpenGL: renderer: AMD RENOIR (DRM 3.40.0 5.11.0-46-generic LLVM 12.0.0) v: 4.6 Mesa 21.0.3 direct render: Yes -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950436 Title: Linux Mint 20.2, Kernel 5.13.0-21 closing lid > screen granulation Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hello, This problem happening only on Kernel 5.13.0-21, Linux Mint 20.2 Uma.
