[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1528005] [NEW] rtl8821ae has no connectivity in 5GHz networks
Public bug reported: Bug exists in mainline kernel. Originally reported as part of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1526683 being the more important part, but it was removed and that issue moved to only not-so-important 2.4GHz connection disappearing which could be more important to me if there weren't 15 overlapping APs. I get IP address and everything, but no connectivity. I cannot ping even the router. Possibly more details at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1526683. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1424181] Re: Huawei E3372 USB modem not always detected
I took this to #launchpad and they say that while the symptoms might look identical, there can be different root causes and to have those separated there should be different bugs and it should be left for the developers to decide if they are duplicates or not. Other bugs can be linked by saying "I think this is duplicate of bug #1424181." They also said that the person in question is not a developer, but a little overenthustiastic bug triager. PS. I am unable to open a duplicate at the moment, but I hope other people open those meanwhile. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424181 Title: Huawei E3372 USB modem not always detected Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: What happened: I have to unplug and plug my Huawei E3372 USB modem in order to connect to the Internet.
