Ran the above command: sudo dmesg > dmesg.txt Attached below is the text file. Update: The touchpad started working normally since the start of this month. I used to run these two commands in my terminal: 1. sudo modprobe -r psmouse 2. sudo modprobe psmouse after every boot up and the touch pad would then work fine.
