Bug description:
  Hi,

After upgrading my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to the new kernel 4.15.0-44 on my
Dell Precision 5520, as soon as I connect the Dell Thunderbolt Dock
TB16 the screen flickers, blanks and freezes... :-( I have to perform
a "hard shutdown" (long press the power button) to halt.

On previous kernel (4.15.0-43) the screen flickers 2 times but
everything is good after that. For now, I have to hit Esc on startup
to enter Grub and boot the this old kernel.

Please give us a working kernel update... very soon ;-)

  Best regards,
  Manuel

Using a Sony VAIO VPCS12L9E notebook, I just upgraded from Kubuntu 12.04 to

suspend from the Kde menu, suspend doesn't work:
  - the screen goes black, but does not turn off
  - num Lock works,
  - caps Lock doesn't work
  - notebook is on, and doesn't enter suspend mode.
In this state, i can only press power button (hard power off) or reboot with

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1069707] ☢Fw: those facts are unbelievable

2017-06-23 Thread Salvatore Cristofaro
Hi friend!

I've recently found that article on the web and the facts I had
found in it were just shocking! Please read it here http://bit.do/dxabM

Warmest regards, Salvatore Cristofaro

From: Bug 1069707 [mailto:1069...@bugs.launchpad.net]
Sent: Friday, June 23, 2017 2:19 AM
To: cristof...@libero.it
Subject: dont call me guy, pal.

When I was 13, he had to do a presentation in front of the class,
which included choosing a song and explaining why it could be related to
your life. Most people picked songs that talked about a specific
trait, I can't remember any particular ones, but basically it was like
"I'm a funny person" or "I'm a happy person" and the like. But no,
not me.

I was going through my emo stage, as I'm sure many of us did, and
decided to find a way to portray myself in a way that talked about
how upset I was with my life and the world. So I chose Behind Blue
Eyes by The Who.

So I get up to do the presentation, play a bit of the song and
explain in front of the whole class and teacher about how my life
sucks and nobody likes me and basically that I don't deserve to live.
Then my teacher says "oh Tyler we don't feel that way about you" and
then I burst into tears still standing in front of the class.

As if that's not bad enough, my teacher is worried about me
(rightfully so) and she calls my parents and then I have to not only
live it, but then explain what happened to my parents. I can't think
about it without cringing.

Buffer I/O error on device zram0 (possibly causing complete machine

  Confirmed

Bug description:
This is on linux-image-generic-lts-raring (which I recently upgraded

I see this junk in my dmesg when creating / formatting a zram swap,
and then periodically. Then at some point after heavy swapping
incidents, the machine locks up. Correlation does not imply
causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively and all that.
