[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1820760] Re: Teclast F6 Pro touchpad not recognized Ubuntu 18.04.2
Yesterday my distribution updated to Ubuntu 18.04.3 and thanks to the new kernel the touchpad is recognized and perfectly working. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1820760 Title: Teclast F6 Pro touchpad not recognized Ubuntu 18.04.2 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Cosmic: Won't Fix Bug description: I have just bought a new laptop from Teclast model F6 Pro. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1820760] Re: Teclast F6 Pro touchpad not recognized Ubuntu 18.04.2
Hello Po-Hsu Lin, Thank you very much for your support. I understand you do not want to risk damaging already working devices with a so big change on a LTS release. I use Ubuntu for my job, I need a rock solid system. Therefore I prefer to use a standard more reliable GE kernel and use an external USB mouse on my laptop. In my new Teclast laptop I installed 18.04.2, therefore it should automatically updated to the new kernel with the touchpad fix on the next point release: 18.04.3. I think that should happen on August/September. At that time I will throw away the external mouse to go back to the laptop touchpad. Thank you very much for all your efforts. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1820760] Re: Teclast F6 Pro touchpad not recognized Ubuntu 18.04.2
Dear Po-Hsu Lin, The kernel 4.18.0-18 was officially released. It does not have your patch (my touch-pad does not work). Could I know on which kernel for Ubuntu 18.04 will be applied your patch, please?
