[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1799988] Re: Missing wifi and bluetooth after sleep on XPS 9370
Since the link under #35 is dead, I assume the patch got merged into the kernel at some point? I'm still experiencing this issue with Linux 5.0.0-32-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 2 02:06:48 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux on my XPS 13 9360. I've tried upgrading to the QCA6174 firmware from https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/tree/master/QCA6174/hw3.0 as well as installing TLP, assuming it had something to do with power settings, but none of that seems to have had any effect. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799988 Title: Missing wifi and bluetooth after sleep on XPS 9370 Status in Dell Sputnik: New Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have XPS9370 with self-installed Ubuntu 18.10 (not project sputnik) with Killer 1435 wireless module. And sometimes I find wifi and bluetooth missing after sleep. I cannot exactly define preconditions, but it seems there are following steps to reproduce the issue 1. Connect something via bluetooth (I use bluetooth headset) 2. Send laptop to sleep 3. Wake it and find wifi and bluetooth missing. I have to mention that I have also been experienced bluetooth only missing, but it somehow transformed to the issue with both wireless devices. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1799988] Re: Missing wifi and bluetooth after sleep on XPS 9370
THe script by @rasch did not help for the issue that I have on my XPS 9360 where the wifi adapter is gone after resuming from sleep. Not sure if it's supposed to. Putting the machine back to sleep and then waking it up again solves things. However, if it's plugged in while I put it to sleep, waking it up does not help, so I also have to make sure it's unplugged. I've had this since I got the machine last year, with every version of Ubuntu that's been available since then. That one seems to be working like a treat. No errors in `dmesg` and it picks up the device as it should in Hangouts on both Chrome and Chromium. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1719853] Re: Plantronics P610 does not support sample rate reading
Here are my findings with that kernel: - My network connections don't work anymore. Could be a side effect of something else so I'll ignore it. - Chrome and Chromium do pick up the device now. With (offline) Hangouts in Chrome, "Play test sound" doesn't play any audio. Chromium does play it through the speaker so I'm guessing it's more of a Chrome issue. - I do still get errors in `dmesg`: [ 113.490781] usb 3-1: new full-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd [ 113.732898] usb 3-1: New USB device found, idVendor=047f, idProduct=c02f [ 113.732903] usb 3-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [ 113.732906] usb 3-1: Product: Plantronics P610 [ 113.732909] usb 3-1: Manufacturer: Plantronics [ 113.732911] usb 3-1: SerialNumber: D21FA3D2B38C144D91AF207D0A9A030D [ 114.377183] input: Plantronics Plantronics P610 as /devices/pci:00/:00:14.0/usb3/3-1/3-1:1.3/0003:047F:C02F.0004/input/input20 [ 114.395822] usb 3-1: 1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x81 [ 114.397515] usb 3-1: 2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1 [ 114.410705] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio [ 114.428427] usb 3-1: 2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1 [ 114.434951] plantronics 0003:047F:C02F.0004: input,hiddev0,hidraw3: USB HID v1.11 Device [Plantronics Plantronics P610] on usb-:00:14.0-1/input3 If those errors are expected, I think this can be closed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1719853 Title: Plantronics P610 does not support sample rate reading Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: As per https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1622763/comments/29 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1709282 , I believe the USB ID 0x047F 0xC02F needs to be added to quirks.c in order for me to use my Plantronics P610.
