[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1435040] Re: Ubuntu Phone (BQ E4.5) does not connect to car-bluetooth
Just a little curious how this bug is now regarded as incomplete and no longer assigned to anyone? What kind of information is needed to make it complete? I can confirm this on my Bq Aquaris 4.5 (rc-proposed) and Volvo My Car system, it connects (however not automatically) but no audio from microphone or speakers. >From my point of view, bluetooth is currently the biggest achilles heel of the platform as evidenced by numerous bug reports. I am willing to help out any way I can to test fixes to this. I have also tried to contact the Canonical developers authoring much of the bluetooth code in Ubuntu Touch, but not received any reply. So much is progressing at a high speed in Ubuntu Touch, but bluetooth appears to fall between chairs somehow... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1435040 Title: Ubuntu Phone (BQ E4.5) does not connect to car-bluetooth Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in bluez package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in ubuntu-system-settings package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: With my FORD Focus Car, pairing does not work. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1576367] Re: Aquaris M10 tablet can't connect to bluetooth version 4.0 devices
It turns out this is not a BlueZ problem, it is the implementation of BlueZ within Ubuntu Touch. I have now successfully connected two "bluetooth v4 smart" devices in Ubuntu Touch by using bluetoothctl, but none of them show as connected in the system settings. ** Changed in: bluez (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576367 Title: Aquaris M10 tablet can't connect to bluetooth version 4.0 devices Status in bluez package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I have tried to pair my Bq Aquaris M10 running Ubuntu 15.05 (OTA-10.1) to Microsofts Universal Foldable Keyboard and Designer Moust, both equipped with bluetooth version 4.0 through the bluetooth settings on the tablet. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1576367] Re: Aquaris M10 tablet can't connect to bluetooth version 4.0 devices
Interestingly I managed to pair the Designer Mouse through bluetoothctl in the terminal. It is still not recognized by the bluetooth system settings though, which shows only my connected keyboard!! My trick seems to survive a reboot, but I have to turn bluetooth off and then on again for the mouse to become reenabled. Remains to be seen if this trick will work with the foldable keyboard as well. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576367 Title: Aquaris M10 tablet can't connect to bluetooth version 4.0 devices Status in bluez package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have tried to pair my Bq Aquaris M10 running Ubuntu 15.05 (OTA-10.1) to Microsofts Universal Foldable Keyboard and Designer Moust, both equipped with bluetooth version 4.0 through the bluetooth settings on the tablet. Is it the fact that these bluetooth devices are "bluetooth smart" or BLE enabled that is the problem?
