[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1920179] Re: System freezes when using Wacom tablet after upgrading to linux-image-5.8.0-45-generic

2021-03-26 Thread sm8ps
The problem persists with linux-image-5.8.0-48.

In order to keep the working version 5.8.0-44 installed, I issued 'sudo
apt-mark hold linux-image-5.8.0-44-generic' for the moment.

Title:
System freezes when using Wacom tablet after upgrading to linux-
  image-5.8.0-45-generic

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I have an Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 260 with a built-in Wacom digitizer.
After the latest Kernel update my system freezes as soon as I put the
pen on the screen. Nothing else but a forced power-off is possible.
Reverting back to 5.8.0-44 is a work-around, so this seems to be a
  regression.

2021-03-21 Thread sm8ps
Luis Llana Díaz, can you confirm that the upgrade to kernel version
5.8.0-45 is the cause and that reverting back to 5.8.0-44 is a work-
around?
