[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1209047] Re: SD Card not loading in Ubuntu 13.04

2013-09-09 Thread Sam
Update on this issue. I have noticed that after updating system files
the SD Card works until a reboot. There were updates I installed
tonight and after restarting to complete the updates, the SD Card was
available to me. I used GParted to partition and format the SD Card and
restarted again only to no long see the SD card. it had loaded as
/dev/mmcblk0p1.

I'm not sure the status on this, but I just wondered if there were any
other thoughts or additional information you could provide on trying
that Kernel again?

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1209047] Re: SD Card not loading in Ubuntu 13.04

2013-08-07 Thread Sam
I attempted the kernel upgrade, but it did not complete successfully.
I'm not sure what I did wrong, as I followed the instructions, but
apparently it doesn't like my proprietary drivers for my video i have
installed. That was what errored out. Everything else seemed to pass,
so I had hoped that it meant just having to reinstall the drivers, but
after reboot, I lost all functionallity of my desktop. If you could
provide additional information on how to properly update the kernel, I
would be willing to try again. But I would like to know how to back out
of the update as well (after reboot).
