[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1265303] Re: Maintainer Mail Address in logfiles

2014-01-01 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Jörg Frings-Fürst, thank you for your comment. As already noted in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1265303/comments/3,
given the fact that the maintainer e-mail is internet public, and that
upstream has made this and it viewable in the logs, there is no
compelling reason to deviate from upstream on this.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Christopher,

you have linked the Maintainer - list, with not include the preferences
to publish it in the logs.

Please link me the correct document.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1265303] Re: Maintainer Mail Address in logfiles

2014-01-01 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Jörg Frings-Fürst, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
The maintainer e-mail addresses being both viewable in logs and publicly
viewable is as per Kernel.org preferences :
http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/MAINTAINERS

Please feel free to report any future bugs you may find.
