[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1476660] Re: Nvidia intel optimus something is messing
I think the bug is out of issue, I just reinstalled the system. Completely. The computer had dual boot with windows 10. I suspect that, somehow the nvidia card remembered settings from the windows and/or it messes up in the bios therefore the linux cannot handle it properly. That guess is based on the fact, the problem appeared shortly after the windows 10 on the same computer got some issue after an update. Perhaps the bios got messed up for whatever reason. First I managed to kill the windows during an attempt to fix it until I was completely unable to log in, then I tried to reset the bios by disconnecting the battery and pushing the button for a while. After all the linux and the graphic card worked perfectly again. I just formated the disk and reinstall the linux 64 alone without windows. Thank you for your effort :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1476660 Title: Nvidia intel optimus something is messing Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: First the mouse pointer were gone on some application icon at the corner where teamviewer and dropbox icon is located.
