So I thought was Fedora the issue. Then I cleaned it and installed Ubuntu 17.10 instead. Sadly the issue did not go away. Checking online I tried changing Wayland = false in the /etc/gdm3/custom.conf package (didn't work) I tried to reinstall the NVidia packages: sudo apt install nvidia-384/5 (didn't work) I tried with logging in not using wayland, but I can not log in with anything else than GNOME or GNOME CLASSIC otherwise the system justs reboots immediately after the log in. I guess you have all my details. ASUS computer, Ubuntu 64bits. Hope you can find what I did not. Thanks in advance for any help!
