[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1772927] Re: linux: 4.15.0-23.25 -proposed tracker
Looks like the P8 problem is one introduced in the 4.15.0-22 release (which was the security update related to spectre v4). There is a fix pending for that and will be included in the next cycle. So given this is not a regression introduced by the kernel from this current cycle, I would switch regression testing to good and we need to make sure to verify that the next cycles kernel does work on P8 (maybe deploy xenial and replace kernel). ** Tags added: regression-testing-passed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1772927 Title: linux: 4.15.0-23.25 -proposed tracker Status in Kernel SRU Workflow: In Progress Status in Kernel SRU Workflow automated-testing series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow certification-testing series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow prepare-package series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow prepare-package-meta series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow prepare-package-signed series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow promote-to-proposed series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow promote-to-security series: New Status in Kernel SRU Workflow promote-to-updates series: New Status in Kernel SRU Workflow regression-testing series: Incomplete Status in Kernel SRU Workflow security-signoff series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow upload-to-ppa series: Invalid Status in Kernel SRU Workflow verification-testing series: Fix Released Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux source package in Bionic: Confirmed Bug description: This bug is for tracking the upload package. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1772927] Re: linux: 4.15.0-23.25 -proposed tracker
>From the test history, this P8 node was tested with 4.15.0-21, which mean that the deployment works with some version earlier than 4.15.0-21, and at least it can boot with 4.15.0-21 in the last cycle. So it's a bit odd to me to see the deployment failure here, as it should be deployed with working 4.15.0-21 from the last cycle. And it's not the 4.15.0-23 in -proposed that's causing this this problem, the system was never boot with 4.15.0-21. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1772927 Title: linux: 4.15.0-23.25 -proposed tracker Status in Kernel SRU Workflow: In Progress Status in Kernel SRU Workflow automated-testing series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow certification-testing series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow prepare-package series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow prepare-package-meta series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow prepare-package-signed series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow promote-to-proposed series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow promote-to-security series: New Status in Kernel SRU Workflow promote-to-updates series: New Status in Kernel SRU Workflow regression-testing series: Incomplete Status in Kernel SRU Workflow security-signoff series: Fix Released Status in Kernel SRU Workflow upload-to-ppa series: Invalid Status in Kernel SRU Workflow verification-testing series: Confirmed Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux source package in Bionic: Confirmed Bug description: This bug is for tracking the upload package.
