This looks like a problem with the libreadline library, but since the
library being used is in /usr/local/lib it looks like something you have
installed manually, not something from an Ubuntu package. I'd suggest
uninstalling the library and trying the update again.

Why do you say it has something to do with livepatch? This is the error

library being used is in /usr/local/lib it looks like something you have
