Upon upgrade from Ubuntu 21.04 to 21.10, the kernel stopped detecting the 
trackpad. 
Trackpad does not appear in xinput list nor in cat /proc/bus/input/devices, cf. 
attachment. 
Hardware: Dell Precision 5520. Trackpad should be Synaptics.
