I got the problem resolved. I went to Lenovo's Website: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and- netbooks/thinkpad-p-series- laptops/thinkpad-p15s-gen-2-type-20w6-20w7/20w6/20w6001nus/downloads/driver- list/component?name=BIOS%2FUEFI And got the firmware from there (version 1.46). It had two files in it. After that when I boot up my computer I noticed it was getting very hot. I then realized that the fan was no longer blowing. I don't remember exactly what the upgrade notes said but I recall it had something to do with either fan or CPU. The fan works before the OS starts but once the computer starts to boot the fan stops blowing even if the computer is very hot (Over 90 degrees Celsius). Possible confounding factors: My boot partition was too small and I was getting problems doing installations.
