  old linux-backports-* packages cannot be purged when corresponding
  linux-image is no longer available

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  it's impossible to purge some older linux-backports-* packages on my
  lucid system

  $ aptitude search ~c|grep linux
