[Kernel-packages] [Bug 991822] Re: MP4 player does not mount
Jotham, as per http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063lc=encc=usdlc=ensw_lang=product=5079569#N1714 an update is available for your BIOS (F.1B). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags removed: needs-full-computer-model ** Tags added: bios-outdated-f.1b ** Summary changed: - MP4 player does not mount + [HP Pavilion dv6-6023tx Entertainment Notebook PC] MP4 player does not mount -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991822 Title: [HP Pavilion dv6-6023tx Entertainment Notebook PC] MP4 player does not mount Status in The Linux Kernel: Confirmed Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have an MP4 player (Dick Smith Electronics MP3 player 8GB DSE N19 A8705 specifically) that should be automounting but will not automount.
